Using the JailHost option doesn't replace carrying out frequent script updates or using difficult passwords, but it will minimize any damage to your Internet sites significantly, so you'll need to fix only one site rather than all of them.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

In case you host your sites inside a shared hosting account from our company, you could protect them using the JailHost option with just a couple of clicks inside your Hepsia Control Panel. The option is provided with all packages and can be activated for any folder since the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have individual folders, so that files for different websites do not get mixed up like it frequently happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default as you could use scripts that need access to folders outside the main website folder and this option can interfere with their proper operation, but shielding all other folders is simple and easy. If a secured site gets hacked for some reason, we'll be able to recover it very quickly as we'll have multiple daily backups of your entire account and you will even be able to search the available backups using Hepsia.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting

JailHost is available with all our semi-dedicated hosting solutions, so in case you host several sites, you can isolate them from each other and keep them safe. This option must be activated for each site and is not enabled by default, to avoid interference with scripts that require access to multiple folders inside the account. Enabling it for all other domains will take no more than a few mouse clicks inside the Hepsia web hosting Control Panel. Unlike other Control Panels, Hepsia does not place different sites under the primary domain folder. Instead, every domain or subdomain has its very own folder, which makes it easier to maintain and secure your Internet sites. In case that a website within your account gets hacked, not only will your other websites remain untouched, but we will also be able to recover the affected Internet site in a short time because we will have multiple backup copies of your whole content.
